TANGO, GOLF, & MALBEC

Tango is one of the most well-known dances in the world, and Buenos Aires, Argentina is famously the home to Tango. Argentinians are very proud of their creation and love the sensual but elegant dance that is a wonderful part of their social culture.

Combine your golf outings with exclusive wine tasting tours to  the finest wine makers in Mendoza Province. Experience and discover why Argentina has one of the best Malbecs on the planet! There are several courses first constructed in the 1890’s, and some in the 30’s which are focused on maintaining their tradition of which they have no short supply. Names like Alister MacKenzie, Luther Koontz, Mungo Park Jr, and Jack Nickalus are among those with their signatures left on these incredible tracks. There are also some newer more modern course designs that have been introduced in areas that follow the rapid growth of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. These courses are contemporary in design and often completely unique in architecture with even a Par 6 hidden among them!

Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive to a greeting at Ezeiza International Airport by one of our English speaking guides and begin a private transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is to be taken at your leisure with city tours optionally available.

Day 2: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then hop in your transfer to Olivos Golf course, ranked #1 in Argentina and 71st on the Golf Digest´s “Best golf courses outside the US.” Home of the Argentine Open, Latin American PGA tour, and the Word Golf Cup among others – Olivos is a must for a golf traveler in Argentina. After an excellent day on the course, return to the hotel for the afternoon.

Day 3: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then take your transfer to San Andres Golf Course. The St. Andrews of Argentina built in 1902, this Parkland course allows you to feel the golf tradition of Europe and Argentina in one, and will be a true step back in time. After an excellent day on the course, return to the hotel for the afternoon.

Day 4: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then hop in your transfer to Pilar Golf Club. This American style course of around 7300 yards hosted the Latin American Amateur Championship, and is the only course in Buenos Aires that holds a unique par 6. This course is more forgiving than the others and really allows you to work on your putting with wide and undulating greens.

Day 5: Breakfast at your hotel followed by a morning departure to the Airport. Board your flight to Mendoza and head to wine country. Mendoza is the heart and soul of Argentina’s wine country, where European settlers introduced the ancient craft of winemaking in the 19th century. Head back out on the course for your afternoon round at Club de Campo Mendoza GC. The 18-holes course has been the stage of important events with players such as Eduardo Romero and Angel Cabrera. This wonderful scenery is full of lush trees, creating an amazing contrast with the Andes range.

Day 6: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel and depart to Tupungato Winelands Golf Club. Located in one of the most magnificent valleys of Mendoza at the foot of the Andes Mountain Range, Cordón del Plata and Tupungato Hill frame this beautiful property located in the Uco Valley. After your scenic day of golf, savor an outdoor traditional barbecue in this wonderful location.

Day 7: Breakfast at the hotel and then head out to enjoy a private tasting experience across two wineries, where you will sample and enjoy the finest wines in Mendoza, selected by Robert Parker (all of them grading more than 90 points). Lunch included

Day 8: Enjoy your final breakfast in Argentina and transfer to the Ezeiza International Airport for your flight home.

BUENOS AIRES Y PATAGONIA GOLF

There are also some newer more modern course designs that have been introduced in areas that follow the rapid growth of the Buenos Aires metropolitan area. These courses are contemporary in design and often completely unique in architecture with even a Par 6 hidden among them!


Golfing in Patagonia is all about the surrounding views and environment. There are few courses in the world that match the natural beauty of these. Patagonia’s Llao Llao Resort for instance, is located within the Nahuel Huapi National Park, one of the world’s first established national parks, with its enormous crystal-blue lake and a diversity of flora and fauna that’ll knock your soft spikes off. Followed closely by Chapelco Golf Club designed by Jack Nicklaus himself, these courses are sure to leave an everlasting impression on you.

Day 4: Take breakfast and head out with your transfer to the Buenos Aires Golf Club. Ranked 79th out of the “Best 100 Golf Courses Outside US” and #2 in Argentina, this contemporarily designed course has hosted all Argentine majors at some point and is widely recognized for its superb maintenance. Post round, return to the hotel and relax in the city.

Day 5: Eat breakfast at the hotel and head to the airport to fly to San Carlos de Bariloche, located in Northern Patagonia. You will be welcomed by one of our English speaking guides and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 6: Enjoy breakfast and head out to the Llao Llao Golf Club. With a superb location, surrounded by deep-blue lakes, snow-covered mountains and natural forests, this track is a sight to see. Llao Llao’s signature hole is a 180 yard par 3 in which you´ll need to fly tee-to-green otherwise you will end up “snorkeling” in the Nahuel Huapi Lake. Return to your hotel for the evening or explore the additional amenities offered by the Llao Llao Hotel.

Day 7: Spend the day enjoying the five star Llao Llao Hotel and all it’s wonderful amenities.

Day 8: Breakfast at the hotel and head to the Bariloche airport for your return flight to Buenos Aires – Connection with the International Airport.
 
Extended Option: 

Day 8: Enjoy breakfast and depart in a private van with an English speaking guide from Bariloche taking the “Camino de los 7 Lagos” (Seven Lakes Road) one of the most famous touristic circuits in Argentine Patagonia. Arrival in the lake district of San Martin de Los Andes and enjoy your afternoon here. San Martin’s surroundings are breathtaking, almost hidden in a sumptuous amphitheater in the mountains preserving the fertility of its lake and forest environment. It really is one of a kind.

Day 9: Breakfast at your hotel and then head out for a morning tee time at Chapelco Golf Course, the first Jack Nicklaus/Jack Nicklaus II codesigned golf course in South America. This is one of the best Latinamerican courses out there and was designed to blend into the unparalleled scenic beauty on which it lies.

Day 10: Enjoy breakfast and begin your morning round at El Desafio Golf Course, a Greg Norman designed track. Currently it is only 9 holes but is an exclusive experience we recommend not to miss. The course itself is already ranked in the top 10 by Golf Digest of Argentina.

After your morning round, head to the Chapelco airport for your return flight to Buenos Aires. Arrive in Buenos Aires and transfer to your hotel for your last night in Argentina.
Day 11: Breakfast at your hotel and then take your private transfer to the International airport for your flight back to the United States.

Day 5: Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the Jockey Club. Opened for golf in 1935 this course was created by Augusta National designer, Alister Mackenzie. Littered with historic holes and stories from the many national and international tournaments hosted there, this course is another picture of Argentine golf history.

Day 6: Enjoy breakfast at your hotel, then hop in your transfer to Pilar Golf Club.
